Distributions FAQ
Question: How do I contact Noble-Davis Consulting for questions about my account?
Answer: We can be reached at our Participant Hotline number at 866-811-6604, via email at contactus@nobledavis.com or on our web chat during normal business hours.
Question: I am currently employed and need to take money out of my company's retirement account. Can I withdraw my funds before I retire?
Answer: Some plans allow for in- ervice distributions which are available once you've reached a certain age (determined by the plan). Some plans allow hardship distributions which can only be taken to satisfy certain hardship reasons. Either of these distributions types are subject to taxes and penalties for early withdrawal. Your plan may also allow you to take a loan which would be repaid into the plan and not subject to tax or penalties provided it is repaid by the maturity date. Please contact Noble-Davis for questions regarding the options allowed by your plan.
Question: Do I have to pay any fees when I take a distribution?
Answer: Yes, we charge $100 for each distribution which includes the cost to prepare required notices and elections, issue the distribution check or transfer funds via direct rollover, and the filing of tax reporting forms.
Question: How long does a distribution take to process and when can I expect my money?
Answer: Distributions normally take 2-4 weeks to process.
Question: How is a distribution different from a loan from my retirement account?
Answer: A distribution is a one time withdrawal from your account which can either be rolled to an IRA, rolled to another Qualified Plan or taken in cash (subject to tax and penalties). A loan from your retirement account is similar to a loan from a bank and is repaid into the plan through payroll deductions.
Question: How do I check the status of my distribution?
Answer: You can call us on our participant hotline and we will be happy to help you.
